The primary karate style we teach is USA Goju, which is a hard/soft style of Karate. It is principally a close range combat system, using techniques designed to incapacitate an opponent as quickly as possible. The softer, circular 'ju' movements are utilized to bring opponents within striking range of the harder, more direct 'go' applications. The system utilizes low kicks, elbow strikes, joint locks, and takedowns from multiple angles, against both armed and unarmed assailants.
